Phone rings. I sprint for it but miss the call. Check the call log. It's harinezumi.

Those of you that know a bit of my history know that he probably is the one person for whom I will drop everything and anything to talk to (or in this case, call back immediately), be it sleep, sex, or negotiations with the Devil for possession of my soul. Especially since considering these days we only call each other in states of dire emergency.

This emergency, quite fortunately, turned out to be something along the lines of if he didn't let that eardrum-shattering "WHOOHOO!!!" out of his throat within the hour, he'd explode.

There are very few joys in life quite like having your oldest and dearest friend call you from out of the blue because he needs to have a ten minute giggle/scream/squee fit because three years of quietly pining after an elusive chickie quite suddenly paid off tonight. The great part about it is that joy like that is infectious - I've been grinning like a blooming fool in the half hour since I got off the phone with him. It can't be called compersion, really, but damn, is it in the same family.

Congrats again, my dear, and all the best wishes in the world. No one deserves it more than you.

you can. all you really need is photoshop, imageready, quicktime, and a LOT of patience... all of which you have, except maybe the patience. :) I'll totally show you how sometime if you want.
