kjpepper: (yarr!)
[personal profile] kjpepper
So far, it's been a good weekend. Friday night [livejournal.com profile] sydneycat cooked for the family (sans [livejournal.com profile] morlock, who was off at a party) while we watched Smackdown! Chicken and potatoes. Very teh yum. And in perfect moment of timing, [livejournal.com profile] inle_rah and [livejournal.com profile] extrajoker whisked [livejournal.com profile] anzovin, [livejournal.com profile] sundart and I off to The Diner for a dessert of confections, conversation and utterly hideous puns. ([livejournal.com profile] extrajoker's completely accidental statement that an alternate and possibly more realistic scripting for United 93 "wouldn't fly" with audiences still makes me giggle.) [livejournal.com profile] anzovin also thought it was rather strange that I eat the filling out of my pie first, then the crust... It can't be that strange. I just like saving the best for last when I eat.

Yesterday was basically sail and sleep. [livejournal.com profile] sundart and I led our first pillage in years around the diamond arch with [livejournal.com profile] sydneycat and some jobbers, and then the three of us moved into a bigger house on Turtle. Houses. God. I'm still a mite boggled by the changes in Pirateverse since I left it the first time. Anyways that was fun, and after heading to bed early I was woken up by a surprise visit from [livejournal.com profile] morlock, which was good since I missed him anyways. To the point where I didn't really mind sitting on him and tickling him this morning until he was at least awake enough to realize he needed to pee, and then get up and go to work. Silly thing.

The rest of today was really too bloody hot to do much other than pillage and lay around melting of hot air thick enough to butter bread with. I HATE summer. But I spent some quality time hanging out with sunny and [livejournal.com profile] sydneycat. We made the mistake of watching the Great American... Meals? Foods? On a Bun on the History Channel, which was a bad move cause it just made us hungry. Syd and I solved that with a trip to Fatzo's where I tried their foot long hot dogs. They aren't bad. They're a little pale and would probably be perfect if grilled up some more, but their stuffings are quite tasty. We followed up dinner by lazing about in the cool courtesy of sydmor's A/C and watched Pirates of the Caribbean in preparation for Friday's opening. Reminds me, I need to make a pvrewind post about that, since cinemark's also showing T2 that night. "Come wi' me if ye want to live. Yarrrrr." *imagines Ah-nuld in pirate clothes and giggles* I suppose it isn't far off from Conan the Barbarian, but still.

I might actually go into the office for a bit tomorrow, even though I don't have to. Money is good, y'know? I'm thinking I'll exploit the fact that when I'm there I can think of 20 million things I'd rather be getting done at home, so if I stay at the office for the morning, maybe I'll come home and get said 20 million things done. :) We'll see.
