kjpepperPirates = awesome. I can't even begin to express how enthralled I am with how this movie came out. I could gush in great detail about every little thing that I absolutely LOVED about this movie, but that would take pages, plus I know some of y'alls aint seen it yet. I will say one thing - someday if I'm feeling midlife crisisy, and if I find an appropriate solution to the obvious mosquito problem this will have, I totally want to run away to a shack in a bayou and become a crazy voodoo lady in a corset. Despite the black teeth, damn, she was hot.
Terminator 2 was a good time as well, though there were asshats in the row behind us giggling in a sort of way that implied much weed consumption was had before they got there, and by the end sydneycat and inle_rah wanted to tase them. Ah, James Cameron. :) I was a bit surprised to find that the movie actually seemed a little dated now mostly in the effect department - while T1K still looks great, there were other effects in there that look a bit cheezy now (mostly the flames in the steel pit at the end). Also the sound mix is a bit flat. But that could be the fault of the print. God, Ahnold and Robert Patrick are both so incredibly young and non crusty in this movie. Not to mention what on earth was Lieutenant Van Buren doing in this movie?
