long day...
Jul. 21st, 2006 12:25 amjust got home from my first Cinemark shift. It wasn't so bad. I desperately need to replace my sneakers in order to survive standing for five hours straight, almost, but other than the predictable feet and leg cramps and the rather unfortunate charley horse I gave myself by leaping over the counter instead of walking all the hell way around at one point, and of course, butter butter everyfuckingwhere, it was ok. I can definitely put up with doing that twice a week, though I have to figure out some way of getting home afterwards at least through the end of the summer. Stupid lame no school bus schedule.
One of the fun things about being there again was all my ideas for the comic I wanted to draw/write about working in a theater came back... especially the bit about descending with buckets down into the ice mines to get perfectly cut little half-cylanders of ice. Hi-hooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Not to mention the monsters that live in the drain under the soda machine. :) Don't know if I'll ever get to use those ideas, mind, but it was fun to think about anyways. and htl_1126 and the wonderful drklrd1922 stopped in to say hi, which made me smile. Overall not a bad evening.
In other news, guess who gets to join the colonoscopy club? Yeah-huh. The GI doesn't think there's anything all that wrong with me since all my tests so far came out normal (hooray - now I can toss out the Poop Hat. Don't ask.) But he wants to make sure, so at the end of August I get to get knocked out for a while they shove a camera up me bum. Grand! Can you tell I'm positively thrilled? :)
Anyways... gotta go exorcise the grease from me pores, the cramps in my calves and the stench of buttery flavored topping from me person. Sweet buttery hot bath, how I've yearned for thee...

Don't need to. PJ (holy fuck, has it been almost a year already?) had a whole collection of them....
