sundart and I were having a conversation this morning about classic Sesame Street segments that have stayed with us up until present day. "Yeah! remember the one about the crayon factory???"

A little more looking for some of my favorites yielded up the following:
The last one, Count Von Count singing "Count up to 9" I couldn't find. :( if someone finds it someplace, comment and I will love you forever. "1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9... doo wah!"
God, this stuff is so 70s it hurts. Not to mention makes me feel utterly ancient.

[EDIT] Someone fromblackfolk reminded me of the Ladybug Picnic... which I discovered I can still sing from memory. Scary.
[EDIT AGAIN] There's a whole Wikipedia article on "Pinball Number Count" (the link above is sort of the best of 11 segments edited together). Apparently the Pointer Sisters are singing the music. Whoa.

- one-two-three FOUR FIVE six-seven-eight NINE TEN eleven twelve. It took me years to figure out this was taking place in probably the most psychedelic pinball machine ever made.
- Noo noo noo noo noo noo noo noo - ever notice that Mr. Typewriter's song is very similar to Gir's Doom Song?
- yep yep yep yep yep yep uh-huh - apparently these aliens still have the power to crack me up.
