So yesterday after the craziness, was more stress and craziness. Mostly involving getting completely lost in Holyoke (land of ignominious one way streets completely engineered by capuchins) on our way to Castle of Knights due to some crap ass internet directions, and everyone being in the car being twitchy because [livejournal.com profile] anzovin had to be back for game at 7, [livejournal.com profile] sundart despising being lost and me just being a twitchmonkey in general. But the meeting went really well - we picked our menu, napkins, requested that the staff dress up in keeping with the theme (more fuming about *look, the venue is getting into my theme but SOME people think it will look foolish*) and scott will call us about the grand total and the price of the kosher food.

The meeting itself was grand, but that didn't stop me from having a full scale freakout afterwards anyway. Luckily there was food to be had thanks to Boston Market and [livejournal.com profile] anzovin and getting home was certainly less eventful than getting there. anzovin even made it to game on time. *sigh*

LOST... well I posted my initial reaction. But wow! Holy Smoke Monster! We've missed you!

This episode reminded me of Shannon's last episode, actually, just how they tied up what she was looking for all of her life and then she was killed off. There was very much of the Eko's story is now at an end here as well when he confronted his brother or what what posing as his brother and told him that he had nothing to confess, that he was given his life, he has done the best with it, and he has nothing to repent. I thought that was powerful and well done, and fitting for Eko's conclusion. Even though I'm really sad that he's gone - I really really liked him. (It helps that Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje is quite tasty.) I'm also grumpy about how there are practically no black people left on this island anymore... we haven't seen Rose at all. Or Ms. Klugh, even, for all the time we've spent in Otherville.

In other news. Who the hell is that guy with the eyepatch??? is that the Him that Henry/Ben was referring to when he was being held captive? And damn if the Jesus look doesn't suit Desmond. Yum. Oh right, plot. The bit that blew me away though was the scene with juliet and the video... WOW. Well played J.J. I still thing the lot of them are totally mindfucking Jack, cause hi, this is LOST nothing is straightforward. But that "Oh, CRAP" look on Ben's face when Jack asked him if his neck hurt was priceless.

This was the first episode this season, by the way, that I didn't want to grind Juliet or Ben into fish biscuits. Alas, only one more ep this fall and I think it's Kate based. Hopefully that doesn't mean more schmoopy stupidity.

Big load off... I will indeed have enough to cover the event at the weddingthing I've been stressing over, and it won't cost me my immortal soul. (Just a piece of it.) I swear, I often forget that when shit get really crappy money can usually be found some way or another if you get creative. Hopefully this idea will persist in its rightness when the weddingfu is over and my focus shifts to the Next Big Things... there are several in the works, yannow. But now... need to get through the next week and a half. One paw in front of the other, as a dog of my acquaintance always used to say. And then maybe a year and a half of sleep.
