Well okay, voting is a given. But wouldn't it be funny if tonight during her (hopefully) concession speech the entire population of MA collectively mooned Kerry Healey? Talk about a state of united Massholes.
This is fun. I haven't been this excited about an election in... well, ever. I mean, not just the gubernatorial election (god, ever notice how funny of a word "gubernatorial" is?) but I'm rather looking forward to xing a big fat yes on Question 1. Mostly because I rather object to the pathetic fear mongering this particular issue has raised. ("Oh Noes! We'll be selling alcohol in convenience stores... like every other state in the union! Whatever shall we do??? Clutch the pearls!") Newsflash: Prohibition ended in 1933, people. If you want to keep teens from drinking and driving be better parents damn it. Honestly, I have no faith that some guy working in a packie is less equipped to check an id before selling than someone working at Cumbies. I just sort of wish they'd call a spade a spade and admit that this whole damn thing is because if the initiative passes then there's a chance bigger retailers will put mom and pop packies out of business, and the whole "THINK OF THE CHILDREN ZOMG" is just a crowd manipulation tactic. As part of that crowd I resent being manipulated, kthxbi.
