So did anyone else have this weird PTSD/post-wedding weirdness? I'm guessing I'm not the only one who had a period of weird emo fu after the wedding. I was making the point to [livejournal.com profile] sundart this morning that at this point most people are off to Aruba or something and being distracted by vacation and nookie. Of course, less and less folk as I see it have even the chance to go on honeymoons these days. That whole disappearance of the middle class thing, plus demanding work schedules.

No, I'm not mooing around about not having a honeymoon, I promise. The last thing I really want to do in the days following wedding is schmoop around an airport. :) But still, it's an interesting observation... I don't think anyone I know who has gotten married in the past four years got to go on a honeymoon.

Nah, I'm just kinda waiting for back to life, back to reality to kick in. Blargh. I've got quite a few things to do but I'm still really tired and don't feel like doing jack shit until I go to work for real tomorrow. I need an actual vacation, I think. Ah well.

Things to definitely do today - set up the interface for uploading pictures to our web site. Oh and work some. *sigh*

[livejournal.com profile] anzovin - you should see this (work-safe). Probably both the cutest and saddest thing evar.

I had that. After all the planning, worrying, anticipation, the house is still dirty, work still must occur, etc. etc. Except that you get to do it with the one you love the most. :) But, yeah, there's definitely a let-down. It abates over time, but not as quickly as you might think.

Me and Drew managed a weekend on the Cape with the obscene amount of money people handed us at our wedding. I definitely needed it, between the pregnant and the amount of pre-wedding freak-out I had going on. I suspect part of how I got through it faster was concentrating on all the bloody fucking paperwork to get my name changed on all the records anywhere and make sure that the woman who did our ceremony actually mailed in the marriage license. Not a lot of time for emo when you're running around.
