Double feature

kjpepperI have been complaining of late that I never get my arse up to go to the movies anymore. I reeally have no excuse for that, as there are things out these days that I want to see, and I get whiny when they come in and out of theaters and I miss them. My own damn fault.

sydneycat - it was the last night for The Prestige, so I went to see that. That was... messed up. Beautifully done, wonderfully twisty, but messed up. Though that can partially be mitigated by the hawtness of Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale noncing about in period clothing, not to mention a wholly unrecognizable David Bowie. :) That and Michael Caine seeming can do no wrong. Other than one plot point that I sorta still have a question on (not essential for the movie to have wrapped up, but it's still there - asking would be spoilerific though) it was quite well done.
We were joined bymorlock for the next movie, which was Borat. Wow. Sasha Baron Cohen is either very brave, very lucky, or very stupid. I seriously wonder how he managed some of his stunts without getting shot, arrested, or beaten to a bloody pulp. It was hilarious though, in a sort of painful "yep, that's my species. Aren't we just wonderful" sort of way. It probably makes me a gigantic dork that I recognized instantly which NYC subway line they were on during the chicken escape just from seeing the inside of the car, huh?
I have also managed to lose my cell phone tonight on my way to the theater. Pretty sure I left it on the bus. damn it.
Cough is better. Yay.
Kinda starting to feel down again... not sure why right now. Just have this general feeling of ick clinging to me. Probably has something to do with the holidays... scheduled to work this thanksgiving so I won't be seeing the family. But I have a long post about that for another time.
