kjpepperNothing like waking up, poking around what remained a deaf and dumb computer after the 2 hour chat with dell CSR, having it crash, then restarting it and discovering, painfully, that your system AND your speakers are turned up all the way. Yikes. Nothing like jumping out of your skin at 7AM either. That'll wake a girl up. The windows startup noise really is the stuff on nightmares.
Currently back online with Dell, cancelling the exchange order. Yah, they were going to send me a whole new tower! O_o I think the CSR got tired, and I don't blame her. But she said I'd have no problem cancelling it, and I'm glad I asked, considering I figured I could fix it if I poked it hard enough. Ah, there we go. All set. :)
One thing Dell did with these XPS cases that's pretty cool is the toolless entry. They have all these interesting little hinges and catches that hold all the cards in place rather than screws. It's a pretty neat system. We'll have to see how it holds up over time, but the idea is cool.
I'm going to have to book it home tonight and pray I can install WoW quickly (quickly meaning in under 3 hours including patches).Grr. It's always annoying when you get something working right before work, cause you want to sit and play with it rather than, you know, putting your pants on and catching a bus...
