Take the long way home...again

Distance from home to Stop and Shop, going the short way: 1.4 miles
Distance from Stop and Shop to home, going the long way: 2.4 miles
Round trip time: 21 min, 51 seconds, including a couple of stops, once to turn around and another to help this sweet Russian couple find their way to Ziskind House, which they had overshot by at least a mile.
Apparently burned 225 calories doing this. So roughly my mileage is 2.89 miles per 6 oz cup of Strawberry O'Soy.
Yes, I know there is no such thing as an ugly sunset. But this one, with the sun freshly set behind the rolling hills of the berkshires, was quite pretty. Purple light gave the clouds a jewel toned shine, as they curled in over themselves in wispy fingerprints across the sky. The air was warm as it whipped around me, as if it were enjoying my downhill coast from Cooley Dick as much as I was. No music this time, just my thoughts and the road churning away under my tires at an average speed of 11 mph.

birkwelch, for the odometer. You've made my evening with this little toy. :) Thinking of taking it for a real spin tomorrow morning if the weather holds. I'm feeling the need to completely wear out my leg muscles to some good goth techno.
