Reasons why I miss working at the theater and wish I were back: Talking to Guy for forty minutes, sassing the Dunes and getting away with it.
Reasons why I'm glad I don't anymore: Still kinda wanna slap Erica on sight.

Ass of the Phoenix was pretty good. Landing in solid 3rd place for my favorite of the movies. I few quibbles with some plot changes and pacing, but nothing too horrible. Oh, and Helena Bonham Carter? Siobhan Fahey did it first and better. See my icon. Not that it wasn't a perfect portrayal of Bellatrix, but still.

Enough Potter though. Lets talk about how in October The Dark Is Rising is coming to theaters!!! ZOMFG. Why did nobody tell me this??? Sunny, we are SO there. Hollywood is seriously mining all of our childhoods, eh?

I've got a mix CD from my boyfriend to listen to now. :)

You may want to think twice about TDiR. I don't know the series myself, but a dear friend on my f'list (in a locked post, or I'd link) said, in part:

So what is the first thing that Fox did? MAKE THE CAST AMERICAN. THEY SET THE FILM IN CALIFORNIA. The main character? The plot gets started with him being apprehended for shoplifting at the MALL.

And then, in comments:

OMG. It gets worse. Someone on my source's LJ just said that the filmmakers have removed all of the Arthurian/Grail mythology.

Someone please tell me, then, what this movie is about?!

They're supposedly doing the Golden Compass without the Church too. Doesn't mean it don't look badass from the trailer. I'm still excited about seeing it, even if it means I'll end up disappointed by the movie itself.

I agree to the reasons for and not wanting to work at the theatre.

I enjoyed the movie while I was watching it (especially because of Ralph Fiennes as Voldemort, but that's a different story =P) but stepping back and actually taking a look at things, it wasn't a really good movie..

I'm kind of dreading all these movies coming out based on a lot of the fantasy books I've read.. Stardust, The Golden Compass, The Dark is Rising.. etc.. Don't ruin them please!!
