hey, sunny D...
So it turns out that being back up to a nearly 40hr week at work is totally the win, as I had some serious money to burn today. Coincidentally enough, today was the day of Really! Cool! Things!
The day started with an excursion out to pagan Pride over at Umass, which alas was disappointing. It was then followed by the Amherst Mercantile, where I not only found a skirt for extrajoker's wedding, I found a fuzzy cat eared headpiece/hat that not only looks quite adorable on me, but is causing some serious rethink of my costume idea for tomorrow and is a serious candidate for my winter hat this year. Seriously, this thing is warm. And fuzzy. It looks like an extra headpiece from a performing arts high school production of Cats. I am quite pleased with it.
The other finds were at Michaels, which I rarely have the wherewithall to rouse mine arse to get to, but we happened to be passing by and I wanted to check out some of their stuff, as they have a line of 18"ish teddy bears and I thought I might find some stuff for Aeris. And yes, Virginia, I most certainly did. Aeris is now sporting a black knit sweater with a skull on it. A skull wearing a pirate hat. And a denim backpack. She also now has a white fuzzy bathrobe too. I saw some pants there too that had some potential to be made over into slouchy raver pants with chains later so I'll have to keep that in mind and go back. Really the only complaint about either the robe or the sweater are that the sleeves are a little short, but considering they're originally meant for bears, not dolls, it's not that big of a problem. And the pirate skull makes up for a multitude of sins. :)
more later maybe. my mood's been wonky all day. :P
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
