Who reading this (besides mornhyland, cause, you know, duh) knows how to finger-spell? extra bonus if you also know ASL.

I know how to spell, though I have serious trouble remembering "f" and "p".

I can usually find my way through the alphabet, and I've picked up an occasional sign here and there.

I do. I have a problem keeping d and f straight because they are opposite fingers that get drawn to the thumb, and I get 'em backwards.

F is a big 'ol o-tay sign. Think of it as "fine!"
P is pointing downwards at about 8 o'clock. Perhaps you'd enjoy some p____ around that time of the evening?

I should be more clear, since there's a kind of subtle difference between p and q.

You can use the letter p for several signs. I know bouncing the third finger off the nose while holding your hand in a p means penis. :)

I took a semester of ASL several years ago and loved it. If I ever did decide to subscribe to the System and finish my BA, I'd use ASL for my language requirement. I wish I knew someone I could use it with.

I figure spell all the time, especially when looking up something in alphabetical order.

I know a few words of ASL: chocolate, friend, girl, boy, want, I, yes, no. I also know a curse word or two ;)

I think I learned how to finger spell before I actually knew how each letter of the alphabet looked.

I use to know a bit of ASL, but I'm not so good at it anymore. All my deaf friends lip-read, so I'm much better at reading lips than actually signing.

I can fingerspell, but I'm very out of practice and so I'm very, very slow. I've taken ASL courses, but again with the out of practice so I don't really remember much.

The Emma and I took a short sign language course together. I've been able to finger-spell since grade school (two deaf kids at the school), and I remember a little bit of vocab and grammar from the class.

We taught Jeremy how to say "Your Mom" in ASL.

I don't understand why people keep saying they can only fingerspell slowly. I can go wicked fast. Course, I can't understand someone else going wicked fast :)
