it's the PVP bit of halo... basically you and other players chase each other with really big guns and unleash the whupass until one player racks up 25 kills.
It usually is the source of very creative swearing and casting aspersions on people's mamas. Good stuff. Especially since after you kill a player you can kick around the body a bit.
