Well don't that just ruin all my lofty plans to visit lovely Mississippi. I have these visions of scenarios where people start sending their skinny friends to McDonalds, a la teenagers getting adults to buy alcohol...

Remember when the No cell phones when driving thing happened. I said, what's next? No eating in cars? My husband said I was being ridiculous and it would never happen. Last year in Vermont (I think) someone was trying to pass a no eating in cars law...

Just proves that nothing is sacred and we really have no rights.

1/3 of Americans are "obese", and I imagine a little more so here in the South. Can you imagine the impact of 30-45% less restaurant business? Economy would take yet another huge hit. Besides there would be discreet "fat salons" popping up everywhere where people would gather in private groups, eat without guilt and converse.
What a stoopid idea.
