Watch List, the anime edition
Mar. 17th, 2008 01:24 amGodannar (mostly cause I already started it with
bluewindkitsune ages ago)
Kimagure Orange Road (This has been one of
harinezumi's favorites since I don't know when, and I keep meaning to watch it.)
.hack//Sign (saw an episode here and there when it was running on Adult Swim)
Fruits Basket (another ancient recommendation that I never got around to watching)
Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo (yeah I know, shut up, I like it. I know, I'm strange. I figure if it's that fucked up in English, it's got to be even more bizarre in Japanese...)
Need to rewatch, preferably with company:
Revolutionary Girl Utena (mostly because Ultimate Destiny Apocalypse killed me every single time.)
Serial Experiments Lain (want to see if it makes my brain hurt as much as it did the first time)
Cowboy Bebop (just cause it's awesome.)
Rurouni Kenshin (but just seasons 1 and 2. and speaking of which, need to buy the rest of the manga.)
I am taking/would like suggestions on what to add to this list *pretends to not look directly at
harinezumi*. I tend to like stuff that's either fantastical and/or completely and utterly fucked up, and not so much the Dragonball Z/Naruto type stuff. Score by Kanno Yoko and Seatbelts don't hurt none either. ;)

Date: 2008-03-17 03:37 pm (UTC)KOR is the show that turned me into the crazed fanboy I am today, though your enjoyment of it will be directly proportional to your love for the 80's and tolerance for shounen romantic comedy. It's kinda hard to get nowadays, since the US license for it has expired a couple of years back. Live-eviL is currently re-fansubbing it, so your best bet for getting it would probably be to haunt their IRC (or asking to borrow my DVDs ^^).
.hack//SIGN is slow as molasses but very pretty and has one of my favorite soundtracks ever.
In general, I recommend checking out Honey and Clover, Ouran High School Host Club, and anything made by Satoshi Kon (Perfect Blue, Millenium Actress, Tokyo Godfathers, Paranoia Agent, and Paprika). If you're looking for something fantasy-ish, I recommend Seirei no Moribito.
