Wow. I haven't been this smashed since Senior Banquet three and a half years ago. Amazingly enough I can still type. All hail muscle memory.
inle_rah,
gossamer_gull and I celebrated g.g.'s birthday by going to Boston Billiards in West Springfield to horrify all with our complete lack of pool ability (though it looks like inle's been practicing, as she made some very impressive shots tonight) and to drink. Well, g.g. and I got to get toasted. inle got to stay sober and laugh at us. And take pictures.
Discovered several things this evening:
We had a great evening, culminating in me singing Russian folk songs and Soviet anthems in the car on the way back, sign number one that I've had one too many. 'Course the fact that g.g. was even more tipsy than I was made the evening that much more amusing.
off to bed with me now. I've still got to work tomorrow, though only for a half day due to Veterans Day being apparently a very big deal in Assachusetts.
Wow! I get to use the "drunk!" icon!
Discovered several things this evening:
- I'm a very quiet/silly/seriously cheap drunk. Honestly, I shouldn't be this loopy after a cocktail, a shot and a beer.
- Beer isn't half as nasty when you've warmed up with some hard drinks. Either that or my tastes are changing. It has been over a decade since I last tried it for real, after all. And whilst still fairly beerlike in its persuasion, Bass Ale is a sight better than what my parents used to drink. A toast and a thought for you,
timarok... ;) - I like pool. I could probably be wicked good at it with some practice.
- Pool halls are far more fun when there isn't a football game on. Damn Monday Night Football.
