Soda. Stop laughing, all of my serious relationships (except one) have either a soda related moment/discussion/argument, or the other person has introduced me to some sort or brand that I'll forever associate with them, or in a rare case or two, I've introduced them to something. But yeah, I can directly tie certain people to Pepsi, Orange Fanta, ginger ale and Virgil's root beer, and for those I can't directly match to a type or brand, there's usually some moment of soda related cuteness to remember them by, like the picture of sundart and I taken at six flags of both of us sharing a gargantuan Coke. And I know that people associate me with Cherry Coke and NOS.

And yes, if it's preceded by "Diet" it's a potential deal-breaker. ;) (Unless it contains Splenda, lol.)

I think mine is Chocolate covered Strawberry's. I remember some awesome relationships that happened due to chocolate covered strawberry.

My litmus test for potential significant others for the longest time was their reactions to Dr. Brown's Cel-Ray (Celery) Soda. If they wanted a taste, then they were cool. If they freaked out and treated it like poison, I became suspicious.

And I think food in general. One husband has tastes almost oppisite of mine, the other tastes are the same.

So it's not for me foods that I associate with romance, but foods that during the course of a relationship I associate with the person.

Chocolate Fondue with fruits.

For me its not a food but if the person shares or will feed you that gets me. First dates where we order dishes we both have never had and offer up tastes to one another +DKP.

Oh dear... I've only had one Pepsi-related... um, incident. yeah, let' call it that. It wasn't so much romantic as sexual. *coughs* I blame sleep deprivation, which was why we were chugging Pepsi in the first place.
