That first clip is why, when my Japanese teacher taught us to say "Neko wa kouza no ue ni imasu,"* both my buddy Josh and I just about fell over laughing. Which is not a nice thing to do to your poor Japanese teacher, but when a language book actually tells you how to say "The cat is on the chair," what else can you do?
