Man I tell you. Having depression sometimes is like running a 104 degree fever all the time. You're all muzzy heaed and things don't make sense because your brain is COOKING. Or in my case, marinating in whatever is the chemical equivelant of angst. Which probably has something to do with dopamine or seratonin or whatever particular gelatinous mayonnaise the brain needs in order to function.
I'll let you sit with that image for a minute.
Anyway. Mood and muzziness broken, and I find myself sitting on a rare moment of calm cool clarity. No idea how long that's gonna last.
I swear with each session I find myself really glad to be seeing chiquitita. She is really adept at being both a sympathetic ear, an astute outside perspective and damned if she isn't also a much needed kick in the ass as well. All three are sorely needed right now.
Still lost... but it no longer feels insurmountably so. Just ... there's a lot to think about right now. Best to start at the top and work through.
