Russians were told over breakfast yesterday what really happened in Georgia: the conflict in South Ossetia was part of a plot by Dick Cheney, the Vice-President, to stop Barack Obama being elected president of the United States.

I'm not sure exactly what's going on here, but I can detect multitudinous layers of 100% pure wtf, no matter what angle it's viewed from.

Oy vey. The sheer amount of spinning perfectly reasonable statements, out-of-context quoting, and bringing up of fringe elements a representative of the whole is both depressing and disturbing.
