Sarah Palin, eh?

McCain is one crafty crafty bugger.

This election just got very very VERY interesting.

Ye-eah, I was thinking that. Trying to negate that diversity 'card', while also having a white man in charge with a white woman supporting him. He gets it both ways. And simultaneously supporting his rebel image because he didn't pick another white man. Completely a political move. I just hope lots of people will see *how* blatantly political and insincere it was to have a token woman onboard.

I doubt it. There are still a buch of HRC supporters that are probably going to eat this up, despite her contrary positions.

I'm not so sure it's going to be that close. For one, they're saying that Palin is inexperienced, which is the same slam McCain has been using against Obama. Also, they're investigating her for firing her ex-brother-in-law.

While Obama probably should have picked a VP who would help him win over some of the red states, his choice isn't that bad. Biden is experienced and he's a good choice for when it comes time to govern.

Just read an interview she gave recently, seems she believes that if there is global warming, mankind is not a contributing factor.

Please. She's a forced-birth anti-choicer who goes for "intelligent design" (read: creationism) (further context link at the head of that page.) Plus her Alaskan bona fides aren't too comforting-- some of her compadres are under federal investigation, and a few of her own dealings have come under shadow (re: previous commenter.)

As in all politics, it's a ploy-- an attempt to scoop up the poor beleaguered (white) women who were denied their Hillary, and are foolish enough to vote against their own interests.

agreed on all points, with the addition that she has the crazy eyes.

My point was that this guarantees that this election is gonna get uglier than two hoochies fighting for Flava Flav's affections. And that I should stock up on popcorn as it unfolds.

LOL. You clearly hang out in different parts of the interbuttz than I do. I end up having to google at least 1/3rd of you comments.

I don't think it's well-played at all. I think it's cheap and obvious. Like the fact that she's a woman is going to exert some all-powerful estrogenic pull on my voting arm and cause me to not notice that I disagree with everything she stands for? Not to mention that he's shot his own arguments about Obaba's inexperience in the foot by choosing a running mate that no one had even heard of before this morning...who is a first term mayor of a town of 9000 people.
I wasn't going to vote for him anyway. But he was a good man, once, and I'm...embarassed for him.

blew Obama's success off the front page today, though. That's what I'm actually giving him credit for, not his choice for Veep. I'd say this cost him the election, but I never underestimate the idiocy of my fellow citizens.

The fact that his cheap transparent ploy may have worked is even more embarassing.
