Oct. 8th, 2008 10:48 amStill better in the energy department. I've been up since six, and I'm now thinking I might power down for a little bit just to make sure I have enough wind to go to the doc today. But I made my bed and have been stomping around the house a bit.
Can no longer taste antibiotic or whatever of the nasty meds that have been leaving a permanent chalky taste in my mouth all day. This is very good.
Voice has disappeared again. Boo.
Still coughing but it no longer hurts.
Standing up straight no longer hurts.
Incision staples are COLD. yeesh.
Valentino has been camping out with me for 48 hours and spent all night asleep up against my belly. Not being a nuisance or anything, just a big fuzzy purry lump that apparently missed me.
I continue to be spoiled by
sundart, who has taken charge of my meds and diet and is just being insanely troopery about all of this and I honestly don't know how I'd deal with any of this without her. I find I'm not missing heavy sweets all that much, and have been quite content with the low fiber high protein salty savories I've been eating. We're going for bulking up on the protein and the iron right now to boost my blood and draw the fluids out of my tissues, and apparently it's working, as HOLY CRAP I HAVE KNEES AGAIN. Next stop, calves....
That's about it...

Date: 2008-10-08 07:11 pm (UTC)Also, my husband later told me that she was a basket case while I was gone. When he got back from the hospital, she would sit by the door and wait for me to come in after him. She also spent a lot of time looking out the window and waiting for me. She's a one person cat and she missed me a lot the week I was at the hospital.
