Without Star Trek, William Shatner wouldn't "exist", sparing me "Priceline Negotiator" commercials. I could deal with that. Thing is, I actually like TNG and DS9... hmmm. Trying to decide if sacrificing those would be worth the eradication of nonconsensual Shatner... yes. yes they would.

Someone came up with the good point that, if it weren't for Star Trek, we wouldn't have cell phones. Ugh...what were the things called that they talked into? Tricorders?
