Thoughts for today

Gmail themes. I keep switching between the theme with the little Japanese fox (cause it's adorable and changes depending on time of day/weather) the ninjas (because it's hilarious) and Terminal (because it makes me nostalgic for the days of PINE. Ahhh, bare bones UNIX mail.)

What price am I willing to pay for my independence/peace of mind? It's a pretty pertinent question these days as I'm struggling to figure out where I'll be come April. Gods. Why is living alone so damn expensive?

I've had that horribly 80s annoying "We Don't Have To Take Our Clothes Off" song stuck in my head since yesterday. Also the word "Vagina" as sung repeatedly to the tune of the Mexican Hat Dance. Makes for a very interesting juxtaposition.

I'm finding lately I'm having a very Sartre-ish outlook on other people these days, which is really unfortunately timed as next week I'm going to be zinging all over NY state for the primary purpose of spending time with other people. *sigh* Really REALLY strongly considering cancelling the whole damn thing, you have no idea. This whole trip is going to be a major hit to the sanity and the wallet, and considering R&C aren't planning on heading back from Elmira until that Sunday, I don't even get a day to recover before having to head back into work. ARG. Stupid need to prove I'm alive and fine to the fam. Explain to me why my sister had to move all the hell way to BUFFALO? Oh yeah. Lawsuit. Damn it. *grump*

Living alone isn't really that expensive, just more so than living with someone. But if it's what you want (or what you feel you have to do), I'm confident you can swing it.

Also, the Mexican Hat Dance internal vagina monologue reminds me of Cheryl Wheeler's Potato song.
