sleepy....
Dec. 12th, 2003 06:53 amPizza was such a bad idea last night. I haven't had a tummyache that hardcore in years. But it tasted so good . . . *sigh* Stupid lactose intolerence. Bash it good.
Despite the tummyache, the evening was good. I found it intensely amusing that I came into the house after work and instantly knew
morlock was here because I could smell him. (This is a good thing.) There are only three people I know who wear Old Spice and two were bloody unlikely to be in the house at that time. He's such a goof, but he manages to make
beatgoddess laugh and that's good. He's also the perfect person to help push her wrongness button. I don't think she'll ever forgive me for teaching him the Niggy Jig.
With hey, ho the wind and the rain! After dinner, and after the tummyache started with a vengence I curled up in bed with sundart, companionably reading. She was rereading Dreamsnake (by Vonda McIntyre - highly recommended for those of you starving for some well written sf/f) and I had finally gotten a free minute to start The Magic of Recluce. Got about a quarter through it, and liking it so far, even if the pace of it is a little slow. It's definitely giving me a lot to think about in terms of chaos and order and myself. We'll see where the book goes with it, and then I'll probably post a nice little rant. :) Sleepytime came at last, and
sundart and I curled up in each other's arms and cracked the window to listen to the wind howling through the evergreens and whipping around the house. It's kinda weird how white noise can be so annoying when constant (static) but so soothing in waves (the ocean, wind...)
This afternoon
gossamer_gull arrives to whisk us away to the faraway land of Three Rivers, there to hang out at the Crackhouse with her and
inle_rah, craft perhaps, fend off the attention of five insane kitties, and glut ourselves on Buffy all weekend. *dance of anticipatory glee* I don't know if I'll have a chance to post at all between now and late Sunday, but if I don't, be well, y'alls.
