kjpepper: (yarr!!)
Well, as if the hair and being oh, the ONLY black person on the block weren't reason enough for the neighbors to glance up curiously as I pass by, I'm sure the spectacle of me pealing down Washington Avenue on my bike, green purple and blue braids streaming behind me, belting out "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy" at the top of my lungs didn't help any. Well, I mean fuck, I'm like wicked happy right now for multitudinous reasons and that song makes me smile a lot, so they can bite me.

"Well, I'm a thoroughbred.,"
That's what she said
In the back of my truck bed,
As I was gettin'... buzzed on suds, out on some back country road.
We where flyin' high, fine as wine,
Having ourselves a Big and Rich time
And I was going just about as far as she'd let me go.
But her evaluation of my cowboy reputation
Had me begging for salvation all night long.
So I took her out, gigging frogs,
Introduced her to my old bird dog
And sang her every Willie Nelson song I could think of.
AND WE MADE LOVE!

And I saddle up my horse and I ride into the city.
I make a lot of noise 'cause the girls, they are so pretty.
Ridin' up and down Broadway on my old stud, Leroy.
And the girls say: "SAVE A HORSE, RIDE A COWBOY!"
Everybody says: "SAVE A HORSE, RIDE A COWBOY!"
What? What? "SAVE A HORSE, RIDE A COWBOY!"
Everybody says: "SAVE A HORSE, RIDE A COWBOY!"

We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.
kjpepper: (happy me (grass))
Today was long, and I spent much of it doing my best impression of a shambling zombie shuffling about and moaning "Coffeeeeeeee..." and "SELECT * from (table) where (assclowns beat me with sticks) Limit (how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop)", as I got maybe oh, an hour of real sleep last night (as opposed to the hour and a half curled up on the couch snoring with my computer on my lap. Of course, I'm supposed to be taking a nap right now, but as it is now after 2 PM, caffiene or no, I am quite awake. Bah.

Birthday goodness though was had! It just wouldn't be a birthday at the office without the summarily wonderful atonal dirge that serves for Happy Birthday there. (I love it, it makes me giggle every time.) And, praise the powers that be there, were La Fiorentina chocolate cannoli. *drool* Some of which I managed to bring home, if anybody wants one. *happy sigh*

Thank you, Dad (not that you're reading this) for the timely deposit! Whew, I can pay rent now. Stupid money. Between this and payday on Friday (direct deposit is a beautiful beautiful thing) I should be well back into the black. Speaking of the fam... *sigh* I'm waffling big time - I don't know whether I'm going to make it down there this weekend or no. I would either have to go tomorrow night (which doesn't really work for me) and be back by Friday night, or head down Sunday morning and be back on Monday night. Screw it, maybe I'll just put it off and go for the whole weekend next week. [livejournal.com profile] jaicat? doin' anything?

Have several mysterious bruisey spots on my legs, and what appears to be a wrenched muscle in my back, which are both near complete mysteries, as I barely did any flailing last night. And I don't think I ran up against anything hard enough to bruise last night, but you never know.

Not much really planned for tonight except some nappage and possibly a little tidying. We'll see what comes up. And here's hoping the sky stays clear - I may go for a walk tonight. :)
