Go, go, go Andee, it's my birthday
we gonna party like it's my birthday
we gonna sip Bacardi like it's my birthday
And I don't give a fuck 'cause it's my friggin birthday!

yeah, I know I posted this last year as well, but as far as songs referencing to birthdays, it's my favorite, other than the Russian birthday song and the Beatles one. So deal. :) Actually, this one probably would have been a little more appropriate a couple of days ago, the whole "party in da club," thing. (oh yeah, [livejournal.com profile] inle_rah posted pics! Clicky.)

I took today off from work, so I technically don't have to be up right now. But I did go to bed at midnight, so I'm pretty awake. We'll see.

Wheeee! I'm 26! I'm running! I'm running! *wall* ow.

http://www.livejournal.com/users/eleccham/87066.html - you know you're going to be geeky parents when you discover a) the easter egg and b) how to page fault a baby toy.

lastly - g-ZUS, but LJ is acting wonkular this morning...

Marathons

kjpepper: (hot stuff)
Oh! I meant to post this yesterday, but I'd forgotten about it.

So. Marathons. I am in the middle of several with several people, and would like to propose a couple more with willing test subects participants, plus scheduling continuations (or in a few cases, restarts) of the one's I'm currently mired in.

Buffy/Angel - ladies, pull out your calendars. With the bestowing of 12" of Spike upon [livejournal.com profile] inle_rah for her birthday, I'm feeling a definite itch coming on. How about it?

Queer As Folk - [livejournal.com profile] darkling_dreams? beat? can we squeeze in an evening before d_d heads off to the tropics?

Rurouni Kenshin - beat, you know you wanna. It's been years, and we still don't know how the Kyoto saga ends! I personally miss the feeling you get when you touch cold water. ;)

Proposed marathons:

In Living Color - Now that there are two seasons worth out on DVD (damn it, I wish they'd hurry up and put that god-forsaken Best Buy in the Hampshire Mall already) I want to indulge in refreshing early 90s inappropriate black humor. I used to watch this show religiously when I was a kid.

Twin Peaks - complete with pie, donuts and magnificent creepiness?

Babylon 5 - because we all want Ivanova and Delenn to get it on. Well ok, no we don't. BUT. Fabulous series, and it's about that time again for [livejournal.com profile] sundart and I

Movie Marathons:

Discussions were had with [livejournal.com profile] rhipowered over the summer about a possible non-StarTrek Patrick Stewart marathon. Other possibilities I was considering were Ah-nold, Jet Li, Jay and Silent Bob, Kenneth Branaugh and my old favorites Jeunet & Caro (Delicatessen, City of Lost Children, Amelie, Alien: Resurrection) and Baz Luhrmann (Strictly Ballroom, Romeo + Juliet, Moulin Rouge).

What do people think?

Oh yeah

I spent today asleep. On one hand, bad andee, I had stuff to do this afternoon. On the other hand, I've now completely recovered from Tuesday and am ready to take on the remaining four days of my weekend. Rar. So... no regrets.

The one problem - I put my glasses down somewheres this morning and my room subsequently ate them. While this is only a pain in the ass for computer usage (luckily I can touch type quite well) today, it's still rather disquieting. I'm not worried about it though - there's only one or two places they possibly can be so I'll look for them later. Preferably with the aid of someone with functional vision.

Thanks to everyone who posted or commented birthday salutations so far! Hugs fro everyone! *bounce

I've got a fierce craving for Burger King today. I mean, ass breakage is a fine birthday tradition, right? [livejournal.com profile] sundart even went through colonoscopy prep last year...) but yeah. chicken whopper (extra pickle), fries, large vanilla shake, and one of ther crappy apple pies. oh, yeah. maybe later though.

anyway, time to find something to do that doesn't involve seeing. :P but first... something silly yoinked from sydneycat )

Whoa!

I just got 20 bucks from England in the mail today.

The reasons why this is fabulous:

- $20. From England. Think about that for a sec. It's pretty amusing, really.

- It came in a gorgeous card with peacocks and marbling and gold accents. Pretty!

- What sort of acrobatics had to be done to send me a birthday card from overseas and have it arrive on time? :)

Thank you, [livejournal.com profile] sapphorama and [livejournal.com profile] sheangel!

Guess what?
