kjpepper: (collar)
Weekend full of work, and conversations both tough and fun... ended up skipping silence of the lambs but that was ok, no one needs to see buffalo bill nancing about in a human girlskin suit at 2am. Saw [livejournal.com profile] sydneycat and [livejournal.com profile] morlock's new place, saw a couple of places with sunny that didn't quite work, we're going to try again on monday and I am NOT going to put my hopes up on the last place we peeked at, that would just be too perfect and nothing works out that way dammit, specially not on the first try. ;) Spent a lot of time this weekend having interesting conversations with [livejournal.com profile] morlock, trying to figure out this other major friend thing going on, and worrying about moving... Got kinda blown off when I called my dad yesterday, which was weird, but I'm glad he's got what's generally constituted as a life...finally. Called up my sisters to find they all were taking a fairly laid-back to entirely avoidant stance about the holiday, but they were all happy to hear from me. hmm, reminds me I should try grandma again.

Dad's trying the get the fam together on Memorial day weekend for a service and the installation of Mom's tombstone. Goddamn, those take forever, don't they?

My brain is dead. Long live my brain.

Tuesday needs to hurry its ass up and get here. kthnx. ;) Looking forward to hanging with masteradept on Wednesday, and my sister in her ineffable girliness has booked us both for a massage and facial on Thursday. *facepalmy giggle* well hey, who am i to turn down pampering and the chance to have the ooze extracted from my pores with green goo made of dead sea salts, spinach, avacado, and giraffe sperm? just kidding - the hell if I know what's in that stuff... And then I finally get to experience the geekstink of pittsburgh. Whee!

I'm chilling and regrouping a bit at home and then a bit later, back to work with me. I don't know for some reason I'm feeling kinda bruised and delicate. I don't know... I may address this in a later post... for right now I'm sure a little rest and caffiene will fix it, though now I've got a good incentive to ditch the latter. Or at least drink more water.

meh. shower now.

so.

Tell me about myself. Be honest. Hell, be scathing if you have to. Tell me about the things that annoy you, the things that piss you off, if I've hurt you in the past and you haven't told me yet. Tell me about what I need to change to make myself a better human being. Tell me I need to floss more. Critisize all you like. If it helps, post anonymously, but go ahead, let rip. I can take it, I'm a big girl.

no fluffy hugs or "you're wonderful" types. this post is strictly for the constructive (or no) criticism.

Goblet of Fire

Blah blah schmoo... looks about as cool as the previous few. I like the montage of the kids growing up though.

Ah, but this... Wow. My jaw dropped. Glad they found something for the director of shrek 1 to do... but godDAMN! This looks like it's going to kick all kinds of ass six ways from Sunday. And casting the psycho angel from Constantine as the White Witch? Brilliant.

(thanks for the heads up, [livejournal.com profile] _kyri.)

sorry, I've been rather loquacious today...

anyway, talking a break from the grind here and taking a moment to do something I meant to do last month - doctor shop! based on location and health plan, I've got the following 8 picked out for the important stuff after primary care (which is already picked out?):

girlbits:
Lorraine Bello
Barbara Jones
Suzy Silverstein
Lisa Stephens

head:
Andrea Cole
Denise Gelinas
Amy Kahn
Carolyn Keefe

I'll probably crosspost this in [livejournal.com profile] pioneervalley later, but if anyone knows anything about said practitioners, give me a head up... Also any ideas on a list of questions I should ask?

Thank you for the commentary so far to the post two back. I do appreciated it... and part of the reason I'm looking into this now is in response to one comment. So... thanks.

back to the grind. Fuck my office is cold. :P
