In other news

I have come to the conclusion from the four people that answered my "blog about this" meme that I apparently don't talk enough about a) animated TV series of any stripe or b) polyamory and my oftentimes tempestuous relationship(s) with(in) it.

clearly I need to fix this in the near future. and I think harinezumi is trying to subtly hint that I need to watch more anime. *whine* I barely have time for the TV i do actually watch... I still need to open and watch Get Smart Season 1... that was a Christmas present! Actually, many of my Christmas DVDs are still in the cellophane.

As for polyamory... I probably should talk about that more. I've been keeping so much of it close to my chest because it hasn't been all fairy farts and roses, but maybe writing about the warts and all will help me work through some of it. I don't know... saying okay, my relationships aren't perfectly happy feels weird to me even if it's true, like I'm betraying the poly cause by saying that I'm having, oh, normal relationship issues times 3. It sounds silly when you write it all down like that, just how it is, but it's true. It's like my continual guilt for being even remotely happy about any random weight loss I've been having because I kinda liked being fat as a political ideal or some shit... That's phrased badly, but I don't have my words working yet. But anyways. I'll try to get those going soon.

In superficial news, we watched 300 on the new set last night. That movie is just as patently ridiculous as the first time I saw it, but it is infinitely improved by the ability to snark the hell out of it MST3K style. The movie just gains something when you imagine Xerxes and his armies of mutants and dancing girls planning and executing midnight raids on the sale bin at Hot Topic. Ande he knew how to make an entrance... I mean, screw your Rolls Royces and your Bentleys, he gets to roll up sitting on a custom built Vegas hotel pulled by slaves. That's badass.
