I don't read ctrl-alt-del because people send me the funny shit already.

Ya know, that kinda IS how it works in WoW. )
kjpepper: (winter holiday)
Even in my cynical old age I must say there are two things about the holidays that will never get old. One is seeing what terrifying Technicolor or all white horrors people have inflicted on their houses (to this day, the light up lawn reindeer that move still creep me out/fascinate me). The other is the music. I love Christmas carols and other such holiday ilk. Love them. Love singing them, love parodying them. I am less thrilled about hearing them in stores and on the radio because I dislike the fact that every pop artist has a Christmas album and the versions of the songs are usually pretty damn bad, some exceptions noted, so I keep a running list of classics.

cut to spare those of us drinking Haterade with our eggnog. )

That's a pretty long list. People should add to it.

I am always pleasantly shocked by how nice the folks up at CDH are.

I kept forgetting to mention that my bill came in from the zydrate anatomy surgery circus over Thanksgiving weekend. Goddess bless Blue Cross Blue Shield, or more specific, my job for offering it. Everything completely covered except for the copay, which is annoying in the wallet especially since I'm still paying off the last copay, but all things considered, $500 isn't an unreasonable contribution towards the complicated cause of keeping my ass alive.

Anyway, I just got off the phone with CDH's billing department to combine both payment plans after being fussed over vociferously by a very nice lady who, by the sound of it, had a bunch of accident prone kids once upon a time. Either that or served a stint as a school nurse. She had that very comforting "oh dear, lets get that fixed up for you, sweetie" tone down pat. I swear, if I weren't on the phone she would have given me a lollipop after we were done. So I'm kind of dead with cute right now.

In other news, bloating is just not fair. Having my period is ignominious enough without also having to put up with having pants that were a size too big last week suddenly be all uncomfortably tight this morning. *grumble* On top of that, my digestion still hasn't really settled from the trip, and I'm sure this new development isn't helping. Really the whole zone between mid thigh and boobs is just cranky. Makes sitting still and doing work kinda challenging I tell ya. Nyehhh.
