other stuff
Mar. 24th, 2004 08:34 amI was so caught up in being Bitchqueen of Bitchia yesterday that I forgot to write up the bit of time I spent downtown in search of body glitter (not found, and when found appallingly expensive) and a short floaty skirt, which I did find, in purple patchwork, no less. I think I just found my new favorite piece of clothing. :)
I'm rediscovering skirts as clothing option lately. They're lest restrictive in odd places than pants, are fairly forgiving of my ass and I look pretty damned good in them. Not to mention very easy access, ha ha. On a related note, I'm also discovering the brave new world of tights... when I find stuff that fits, anyhoo. There are some crazily patterned tights at http://www.footraffic.com that do run up to queen.
I also got one other neat thing - a splashguard for my Nalgene. Anybody who carries a nalgene should definitely get one of these little doohickeys, they're wonderful, and eliminate that drooling down both sides of your mouth problem you get when drinking from something with a wide neck like that.
Today will be running about like headless chicken, class, organ lesson, lab shift, and then home to do laundry, homework and some tidying up and hardware install type things (hardware in terms of Bob Vila, not hardware in terms of building the ultimate gaming box). Fun.
2 Years Ago (March 2002), I:
1. was living on Williams Street with
beatgoddess and
sundart
2. had only three cats
3. had picked off the final thin scabs from the fork incident on my right hand.
4. had been working at eclecTechs for just over a year
5. Hmm, don't remember too much else...
1 Year Ago (March 2003), I:
1. I hadn't yet tried my hand at LJ though I had heard about it. I wouldn't be convinced to try it until the next month.
2. beatgoddess sundart and I were renovating and painting our current place on Washington whilst getting rid of stuff, getting out of our lease and butting heads with our landlady at Williams Street.
3. We'd just gotten Valentino neutered and he hadn't quite stopped stinking yet. He was also not really adjusted to the other feline members of the household and was still fairly skinny for a big boy cat.
4. was trying to get organized enough to get back to school.
5. still at eclecTechs
Yesterday, I:
1. felt crabtastic for most of it
2. went dancing
3. bought stuff (see above)
4. gleefully devoured all of the banana baked goods suzy homemak- er, sundart made.
5. biked
Today, I:
1. am about to be late to English
2. changed the cordless battery finally
3. feel a sight better than yesterday
4. am going to be doing much of the running around, ya.
5. was amazed that I woke up without a hangover
Five Items I Have Brand Loyalty To:
1. Pepsi.
2. Adobe anything. I don't like Macromedia programs.
3. Heinz
4. Neutrogena
5. Stoneyfield Farm (yay o'soy and Hampshire College Div3 projects)
Five Songs I Know All the Words To, Even Without the Music:
1. Hedwig and the Angry Inch - origin of love
2. Cake - sad songs and waltzes
3. They might be giants - older
4. Seabound - hooked
5. Squirrel nut zippers - hell
Top Five Locations I'd Like To Run Away To:
1. Back to NYC
2. Virginia Beach
3. the metropolitan museum of art (who gets this reference? ;) )
4. anywhere there's a sundart
5. anywhere I can see a sky full of stars and a world of sunrises.
