owww, my ass
Apr. 10th, 2004 05:14 pmhoo boy. I think I broke myself from the waist down. My legs are solid slabs of well-punished muscle. And man, does that feel good. I must be in slightly better shape than I thought - two years ago 20 miles had me in ice for a night and generally sobbing for three days. Now I think I'll be good by tomorrow night.
I went 23 miles today - basically from home all the way to the end of the Norwottock trail and back. No wonder my hips feel a bit like they're going to fall out of their sockets. Can't wait until
sundart gets a bike - it looks like there are some pretty hiking trails at the end of the trail.
Note to self: the trick to making lemon-lime powerade actually taste good rather than like well-sugared monkeybutt is to get really fucking thirsty first. I need a water bottle thingie on my bike. feh. But it's good to know there's a vending machine in the back of Pete's Drive-In.
I wonder - if I kept following the tracks at the end of the trail, would I eventually get to
gossamer_gull's? Must find out sometime.
Such a gorgeous day. Glad I went and soaked up some sun.
Came home, chatted with
beatgoddess for a bit, found that
inle_rah,
gossamer_gull, and quite possibly
dionethoughts had come over and kidnapped my girlfriend. :) I think they went to the Bizarre Bazaar, which I had forgotten about. Ah well. Hope they're having fun. There's always next year.
Hot shower now. Then stuff face more. Holy crap, I'm hungry.
update... um... That's never happened before... I looked into the mirror just before I got in the shower and my face was completely covered in salt deposits. Bizarre...

Date: 2004-04-10 10:33 pm (UTC)As for the Rail Trail, I know that it runs directly behind my aunt and uncle's house in Belchertown. That's about a mile from where I live: I believe we walked to/by their house on one of our late-night excursions.
