Wow, Spring. Concept.

kjpepperThe house smells warm and stuffy until I throw open windows and beckon the sunshine in with a laugh of delight. Come in, be welcome.

sundart. She was so excited about being able to hang the wash for a change today. She is currently out hiking with gossamer_gull, who is looking strangely teenagery today in her jean shorts, tank top, ponytail and sneakers. They're having fun.
I scrub my hair in the shower and rinse. Shampoo gets into my eyes. The sting is a harbinger of things to come when the air will be thick with yellow tree sperm and later, mosquitoes. first my eyes will turn red and swell, then various patches of my body. Both I will scratch into hell and ignominy, but only the mosquito bites will bleed. It's a reminder to seize the niceness while I may.
I think early early early tomorrow I will take off for a good long ride, and later I will wander with my Nomad, feeling the sun on my face and filling my ears with music, in search of thickly caffeinated thing. I will pass the t-shirt clothesline on Seelye lawn, or at least, pass where I can see it. My stomach will twinge with memory and sympathy - memory of myself making a t-shirt to hang, memory of why I actually did so. All the glittery paint in the world can't make that particular memory better, but at least it's pretty.
For now I will sit with my assignments and slave, watching the sunshine from inside, as I always do. I always forget that outside is a valid option for me, instead of when I was younger and shut up in that house.
I'd better stop. This was supposed to be a joyful entry, and somehow it just isn't. *sigh* I'm cheerful though, I guess that's what counts, right?
