Two loudass honks sounded somewhere in our house during the night, once at 3ish am the other about half an hour ago. they sounded exactly like the "Survey says? Wrong!" buzzer from family feud, or a massive test of the Emergency broadcast system. The weird buzzer test, not the high pitched two toned test. Anyway, it scared the shit out of

beatgoddess and woke up me and

sundart, and we're still not sure where it's coming from. The prime suspect is an ancient smoke alarm wired into the wall just outside our kitchen door, except it's not wired really and

beatgoddess says the label says that it contains radioactive materials. Boy oh boy.

I'm thinking the phone woke up the ghost of our landlord's dead father and now he's feelin' frisky.
