Northampton Pride!

kjpepperIf a picture is worth a thousand words, then 55 pics tell one hell of a story and save me lots and lots of typing. Well, except for the typing involved getting all my pics into a spiffy little table for y'all. And whatever necessary to resize the things. Argh. There were too many today to even bother with color correction, so these are pretty much as is.

sundart and I helped Bosslady out with her Pride thing, made sure Barkley didn't jump out of the truck along the way, and as always, got tanned in a few places, burnt in others, and had a raucously good time.
Happy Pride y'alls. I say that for those of you bravely living life by your own terms. But especially for those of you who, for some reason or another, can't. I feel you, toast you, and celebrate all the harder in your names until the day you can at last tell everything to play hide-and-go-fuck-yourself and be the fabulous people you are.
Oh yeah! Happy Mayday/Beltaine for those of you that are Pagan too. May your summer be fruitful and your night be magical. Oh. And use condoms. And try not to get caught out for indecent exposure. ;)

And that was the end of our Pride adventure.
There's more that's been going on headspace-wise... but that's a circus of angst and other nice things to have with tea and crumpets, so I'll save that for another post.

I didn't get any pics of the actual parade itself, seeing as I was too busy flinging eclecPens at people, and trying not to gouge anyone's eyes out in the process. Succeeded in the endeavor, but there were a few close calls. Not to mention little kids who thought I was throwing candy and were probably rather disappointed. But there were some people that were all about "GIMME PENS!!!!" Anyway, I did not resume shutterbugging until we got to Veterans park. | |
