kjpepperAh the first true allergy attack of the season... how fine it is. First the same scratchy itchy eyeball problem that has been plaguing me since yesterday is still very much present. Ow. Then, I made the mistake of eating a slightly less than ripe banana. Usually that's not a big deal, hell, I like them a little green as bruised bananas make be gag big time. However, sometimes bananas and apples cause this icky reaction that involves my throat swelling, and freakishly itchy spots on the roof of my mouth and some undefined area of my throat behind my adenoids where I can't even scratch with my tongue. So of course with my histamines already going fuckadoodledoo, this banana only sent them into overdrive.
So there I was, in my usual corner of the living room loveseat, salt water pouring out of my poor thouroughly abused left eye, one side of my nose completely shut, the other side itching like fuckall and my throat swollen and itchy in that special way that promotes such behavior as nearly swallowing my tongue and then rubbing it back and forth along my soft palate in a futile attempt to make the torturous sensation stop.
This sucks.
Going in search of Loratadine now. If it weren't so fucking nasty out I'd also go downtown to CVS and buy myself some Naphcon-A, that stuff is expensive, but nothing else works for allergy eyes quite like it.
