Haven the short short version:

yay people! the place was actually crowded today. However

THE MUSIC SUCKED LARGE HAIRY GOAT SACK.

But there was ice cream, and there was

sundart and

birkwelch and that sort of made up for it, especially as for the first time ever,

sundart ventured onto the dance floor with me. And there was also

inle_rah,

gossamer_gull,

dionethoughts,

ladygwyn,

sydneycat and

morlock. But the music suckage was well enough to kill my mood halfway in, among several other factors, most of which three million emotions coming to a head at a rather nastily inconvenient time.

sundart and

birkwelch ended up leaving early, and soon after I was sitting up on the balconyesque place in my usual spot sobbing my eyes out.

I thought being in the mostly dark would hide the fact that I was having an upheaval, however

sydneycat did notice, and after concernedly kissing my nose, instructed

morlock to pet and fuss over me until I felt better. Which he did. Quite thoroughly. And after I was mostly level, I figured out that my general form of brat-o-licious flirtation worked quite well on him. Then again he's a big brat too - case in point, we tag team

beatgoddess with inappropriate racial humor - so no wonder. He also informed me that my main problem was thinking too much, and told me to stop that at once, which now I'm pretty inclined to do. Especially since now I'm quite ready to tumble into a sound sleep.

So... overall a weird and somewhat off-kilter evening. But it did have its moments and those were really good.. Despite the music sucking toejam off a dead dog. :)
