I'm weirdly sad this afternoon. Contributing factors may be the gray, muggy weather outside, an odd sense of loneliness (not sure where that came from), the dean meeting that actually went rather well except for the somewhat annoying but expected news that I won't be able to finish up my math credit until the fall, and the fact that I have The Magnetic Fields' "The Book of Love" stuck firmly in my head. On loop. Actually, I highly recommend that song to anyone here. Somehow it encompasses beautiful, touching, sweet, and funny all at the same time. Not to mention it's fairly easy to harmonize with it. Anyway... I need a hug, I think. Or just to be held for a while. Either way.

I'm having an oddly crampless 1st day. très bizarre.

I think I'm going to go finish the dishes and Heir to the Shadows, then give some serious thought as to how to dispense with my summer in some way that doesn't involve pissing about, as the brits would say...

every thursday is trek/firefly/something random and sci-fi-ish at my house. now that you know where i live (should i be afriad???), you and your lady fair are more than welcome to come over for any trek night. we usually start around 7:15.
