Really good day today, despite the dreary weather. I had a fun and productive appointment for work, which had me in a seriously good mood afterwards, and then I went down to

spacecrime to hug and congratulate Chris (and Deb, in absentia) on their new little girl (boy, 'tis the season for babies it seems! What were you people doing on Columbus Day weekend and Halloween??) and then gleefully spend an appalling amount of money on volumes 3 and 4 of the Rurouni Kenshin Wandering Transsexual Houseboy manga (they're in the bathroom,

beatgoddess) and Nalo Hopkinton's latest, which is still in hardcover so that should give you some indication of how much I like her stuff. I think I can sort of feel the writing bug start to wake from its hibernation again - I found myself glancing over the Fantasy shelf in there and the usual thought of "Come on, girl, you should be WRITING this shit, not reading it!" came back to me, and that's the first sign of it, so perhaps the apathetic funk is lifting a bit? *crosses fingers*

Minor annoyance of the day - I got these yummy black pants at Lane Bryant a couple of weeks ago in rather closely hip hugging stretch denim ya? Today, I discovered I'm starting to have the same issue with these as I am with my old pants, namely that I have to hike them up every ten seconds unless I feel like showing the world my Jockeys. That's it, I'm not getting any new clothes until I stop this spontaneous shrinking nonsense. *grumble*

Debating whether Haven is in the cards for tonight - I could use a night of hard, shin-wrenching dancing and some shameless flirting. We'll see.
