Gross fairy shopping
Sep. 26th, 2004 02:44 pmWhat the hell are they doing with the area Top&Hops? Both the Amherst and Northampton ones are pretty gutted near what used to be the produce aisles for both. Makes shopping a little more interesting, as they've rearranged shit - I can't grab stuff on autopilot anymore.
That aside, whee, we have food for all, even the kitties, thanks to the generous ridage provided by
inle_rah, who is spending the day with us as an unexpected surprise. She even let me drive to the store - whooooo! Things to work on: I still suck at turning smoothly, and occasionally I still brake too hard. Not to mention my three point turns are still more like ninja throwing star point turns, and we won't talk about the stop sign I totally didn't see. o_O I surprisingly enough kick ass at navigating through tight spaces: there was a huge truck blocking half of Franklin Street and on the other side was a line of parked cars: after a brief moment of "AAAAAAAAGK" I got through it with nary a bump. Then again I have taken on that frightening one lane insta-bridge that was between Northampton and Easthampton for a while, and that was a tight squeeze if I ever saw one. So... go me. I also managed to park very nicely between the lines when we got to the store. So... yeah. I'm getting better at this. Need more practice though. Hey, you two! (this directed at
athene and
lordaerith) What say you? Lets make a date.
I'm considering whoring for some birthday monies (not literally, but on sheer cuteness power) as I really fucking need to spring the bike from the shop, I miss my Bellenoire, yes I do. Fucking bent rim. That'll teach me to jump curbs. I just miss riding her, really. (shut up, you pervs.) And doing good things, like avoiding the traffic coming out of UMass after class and getting to work on time in the morning. BUT also speaking of the birthday...
sundart has agreed to be my pet kitty at Haven during the birthday outing - she's all like "I'll even wear ears!" Gawd, she's cute. :D
More happy: I have cocoa. Like a gargantuan tub of Swiss Miss. Autumn has officially begun, and hot chocolatey victory is MINE. I also have Golden Grahams, and am currently happily sucking down a genuine Dunkin Donuts coffee. (xtra/xtra) Let the rejoicing in the multitudinous carby goodness begin.
Oooh, I wonder if my ship's ready yet. I bought a cutter a few days ago in the Piratesverse, thinking it would get me back into the game, as I've been totally out of the loop lately. It's probably done now. I go check. Then I may take sunny's bike out as I need to go pick up my iThing from
morlock at some point.
*boing* happy Andee is gooooooooood.
