Whee! *has been singing "It's the most wonderful time of the year" for much of today.

And what a beautiful day to start it with too. Perfectly cloudless, warm but not hot, sunny. Today is perfect for tearing about on a bike, or screaming down a highway with no particular destination in mind, music blaring from the speakers. It's days like this that I wish I had my license already. And while I'm dreaming maybe a convertible. With really good miles per gallon. Yeah. ;)

Reasons why Andees like October:
  • No more 'skeeters.
  • Halloween/Samhain. Halloween has always been my favorite holiday.
  • One yummy extra hour of sleeeeeeeep at the end of the month. Or not-sleep. Either way, yay extra hour!
  • A free day off of work/school right in the middle.
  • pretty pretty pretty trees
  • cool (but not freezing) weather.
  • Atkins farms cider donuts. Actually anything involving the words "Apple Cider." Especially if other words included are things like "Mulled" "donuts" and "hot" (but not "Vinegar.")
  • It's finally time for such warm yummy things as wood smoke, cocoa and fleecy bed stuff.
Orion. Actually starts are just that much prettier on a cold clear night.
And the number one reason Andees like October? I was born in it, duh! As were several friends, at least 1 dog and a friendly neighborhood ray of sunshine. Go Libras! *cheers*

[livejournal.com profile] medancer wrote a post this morning about this being the start of her favorite season.

Not fall.

Something tells me you'd agree....
