It's funny my first thought was "Krokodil" by Chukovski (who I think is fairly equivelent to Silverstein in the whimsical kiddie poetry department), but a) that's an asslong poem, I mean I might as well repost the entire "Ballad of Reading Gaol" (another one of my absolute favorites) b) it's in Russian, so the only person who would be able to read it, let alone recognize it would be harinezumi. So something shorter and sweeter. :)
