Yesterday was ... interesting. Mostly good, though there was a fair amount of mood rollercoastering all over the place that turned out to be rather exhausting, starting with not being able to find my ring before I left the house to go meet [livejournal.com profile] sydneycat and [livejournal.com profile] morlock downtown. That didn't actually wind up happening, somehow they both ended up back at the house tearing apart various locales in an attempt to find it with me. Little bugger still hasn't turned up. Good excuse to keep cleaning the house. I started yesterday, got sunny and my room straightened and vacuumed and the kitchen floor swept. I'm hoping I have the drive to at least begin to scrub the kitchen floor, seeing as it's beyond nasty and it's only going to get worse as winter barrells down upon us and we start tracking sand everywhere. And I have to go out to stop and poo and get kitty litter and other stuff.

I also turned on the heat for a bit yesterday. Ah, nothing like a toasty house complimented by the smell of water that's been stagnating in the radiators for six months turning into steam. Rar!

I digress tho - syd and morlock and I noodled around downtown for a bit, then went to see Team America, World Police. Trey Parker and Matt Stone are going to hell in a TGV handbasket. I can't decide whether this movie is an excellent example of why crackmonkeys should or should not be given puppets and a political agenda. :) I have to wonder what's next for those two. They've done live action, cheapskate animation, and marionettes - I guess their next stop is stop motion animation or anime or something. Or kabuki. Or maybe they'll collaborate with Kevin Smith and come up with something COMPLETELY fucked up. That would be awesome.

The rest of the evening and night involved much cuddly goodness with squishy boy. :) Yummy.

So, today - more cleaning. dunno how much I'm going to get done, but some of it for sure, even if it's just sweeping out the rest of the house. I feel a bit like I'm in a gunslinger movie lately, what with all the tumbleweeds of cat hair floating about. I do wanna go to stop and poo at some point too. And then I have to sit down and tame the fro, plus get a couple of other little things done as well.

and hopefully find my ring.

But first, LJ ketchup and digesting an amount of breakfast that would probably daunt Jabba the Hutt. "Oooatacha wa ooloo, Solo? Ho ho ho..."

Never having lived in a radiator-heated domicile, how does it compare to dust burning off electrical heating elements?

oh, there's a fair amount of dust burning off the radiators too. Just add a slight odor of rancid fishtank.
