Dec. 28th, 2004 07:44 pmOnce upon a time there was a country station in NYC on 103.5. My mother loved this station - until the day she turned on her radio and was immediately blasted with loud technodancepop. She called the station that morning and some guy cheerfully informed her that the station was no longer playing country, it was playing "the kind of music that makes you want to slit your wrists."
I never quite got that until tonight, although not getting it didn't detract from the story any. But considering about an hour ago, I put on O-Zone's "Dragostea Din Tei" and a mix of eurohouse in preparation for doing the dishes tonight, and then my mood completely and totally crashed. Ugh. There is nothing, NOTHING more depressing than listening to maniacally happy music when all you wanna do is cry.
