K, Miracle Max and Valerie really have no excuse. They're white, straight and Christian. The only possible thing they got going for them is, like, Trifling Old People Time.

*sigh*

Well, while I wait for themfolk to get here... my co-worker Matt has probably the geekiest bumper sticker EVAR: "There's no place like 127.0.0.1"

Is it sadder that I actually get that or think that it's the greatest thing I've seen today? Other than that "byte walks into a bar" joke that was posted to [livejournal.com profile] bashorg yesterday?

My head feels... foggy, like part of it's off. But yeah, I've been feeling like I've been thinking through a haze since, oh, last friday. It's troubling.

ah well. off to wash some more dishes before it's time to storm the castle snowblower.

see now...

...the saddest thing is pointing out that the joke is wrong, since 127.0.0.1 == localhost, not home - it would have been better if it was

" There's no place like ~/ "

but only unix geeks would get that. Like me.

I think it still works... If you think of it less as home and more like "your own computer." local system versus Oz system? Maybe? ;)
