One thing I occasionally like to do with my Livejournal is go back one year on today's date and read the entries there. It's mostly out of curiousity, kind of indulging that "hmm, so what was I doing last year at this time?", sort of looking down the spiral staircase of time and checking to see what the weather is like exactly one floor down. It often turns into a bit of a benchmark... who's still in my life, who isn't, what's changed, what hasn't, how far have I gotten in some aspect, how much have I managed to NOT progress in others... yeah. Course, now I get to do it two years back...

Someday I really do want to finish typing up my old journals. Then I can look even farther down the staircase. I have been keeping journals on and off since I was ten after all.

Looking forward to work - got a couple of challenging projects to tackle today. After work

morlock and I are going to Lower Warzone to seek a successor to the Shortbus, who is suffering inoperable cancer of the brakes. :P For now I'd best get going - it's already 8:30 and I don't have my bike this morning. :P oh well, at least getting to work on foot is less of a production than it used to be. :)
