So, here are those pictures I've been gushing about.

	This chickie played the harp during the ceremony. She also had a gorgeous singing voice to go with it. oh, and one of the official wedding photos is the entire wedding party launching an attack on that gazebo. Gamers.
	Garb was strongly encouraged on the invitations, as you can see. I was very impressed with the guy in the period appropriate khakis.
	We did see our share of Incestovalley geeks. Like reverend_tom (who was in the wedding party and let me touch his sword, heh heh) and iona_dreaming.
	lordaerith, looking very distinguished.
	lordaerith and the officiant do a minor wardrobe check.
	lordaerith and the Elemental Groomsmen. More bars in more places on the Cingular Wireless network, apparently.
	Let us begin the wedding! I loved her purple robe, and the notes about how the ceremony, though it was largely pagan with a few Jewish accents, was at its core about love, just like any other wedding.
	Water. She came in blowing bubbles, which blew away before I could get them.
	Earth, scattering seeds.
	Air, with fan
	Fire, scattering rose petals. This is queencimmy, athene's MOH.
	lordaerith waits for his bride, as the bridesmaids take up their positions with the groomsmen around the chuppah.
	athene, escorted by her parents, who were absolutely thrilled by the whole garb thing. athene, meanwhile, seemed consistently about to faint with happiness throughout the ceremony. Which is about right. :)
	I don't think they're hearing a word of the ceremony. They're too like - "holy crap, we're getting married." Which is also about right.
	Handfasting cords. I loved how athene hid hers around her bouquet - I didn't see where lordaerith kept his.
	Tying the knot.
	Athene gives Aerith her ring.
	lordaerith gives athene hers.
	The elements bless the couple. This is Air's; unfortunately I didn't get a shot of Earth's blessing and I didn't get Matt in the shot here (pity, he's cute - and can contact juggle!)
	Fire blesses the couple.
	Water blesses the couple.
	The happy couple, just before kissing, jumping the sword and broom and beginning their married life with lots of picture taking and food. :)

The party bit of the wedding was fun. The music was like haven, only colorful, since addambombb was spinning (ever see the mother of the bride dance to the Cure?) The cake was fiercely yummy. And there were just a collection of fun moments, like the guest in the kilt never having heard "The Scotsman" so lordaerith and a bunch of us who knew the words sang it raucously at him. The pirate guests singing the song about the beer and tobacco. Sitting with Matt and Lindsey and learning to fold napkins from the latter and swapping teacher/students tormenting teachers stories with the former. Noting that one particular older guest in white garb looked a lot like Black Adder. (actually what I said was Mr. Bean, but the garb made Black Adder seem more appropriate.) Enjoying all of the older folk in garb. The shot of all the Smithies present at the wedding for the Alumni Quarterly. ("Can we flip them off?") Having no less than six people call sundart and I cute. Including the seriously hot photographer, from whom we got a business card. Sunny and I discussing plans for our own wedding. Winning the centerpiece for our table. I win - candleholder decor is yummy.

Overall, a good time was had by all. So... one wedding down in the Incestovalley. Two more to go.

Wow, tremendously cool. They pretty much covered everything I would want to do in my ideal wedding. I love the elements as groomsmen and groomswomen. They both looked stunning. Not to mention swords and daggers, grrrrr. lol That is definitely awesome, great pictures and congrats to the happy couple. :-D

Hi There. This is the wife of "Period Khakis." Let me just explain in brief. We did have garb ready. However, when we pulled out his shirt, their was a huge slpotch of sun damage (or old cat pee, we weren't sure which.) across the front. So we both went in everyday stuff. I'm lucky he conceeded. He was so frustrated he didn't want to go after that happened.

And now you know. And knowing is half the battle. :)

thanks for the heads up! I didn't know there was a story behind it, I just liked how the picture was framed... garb garb garb, sunglasses/khakis. Hell, he was probably the most comfortable person there. ;)
