The what the fuck now?

So whilst combing the net for pictures of Linda Richman (I want to make a Coffee Talk icon) I got mired in various wikipedia articles about past SNL sketches, and whilst so mired, read the following paragraph:

"Julia Sweeney recently admitted that Pat is a woman. This admission stems from a skit with Harvey Keitel in which their two characters, both of dubious sexual provenance, share a kiss. Julia Sweeney reflexively tilted her head to receive the kiss in the receptive, feminine direction. This was not caught at the time, but rather brought to Sweeney's attention a couple of years after the fact. The admission was wholly inadvertent. Sweeney normally scrutinized such details in her performances as Pat; she expressed disappointment that she had allowed this to slip. This was the only such 'tell' of which she was aware, but nevertheless accepted that this made Pat a woman."

Okay, Pat annoyed the snot out of me for various reasons. But the part that I'm scratching my head about is the fuck? there's a gendered way to kiss? I mean, I've been told I kiss like a guy before (and I'm still having trouble figuring out why), but the above argument seems like a big load of semeniferous tubular shenanigans to me. I mean... what the hell is the receptive, feminine direction? Always to the left? does it change according to which hand you write with? Did it ever occur to folk that Pat might just be submissive?

i think that generally (and naturally), the male will keep his head straight and the woman will tilt her head. (i just tried it with aerith, and that's what happened). maybe it's some left over submission thing from ages ago or something.

I always think I kiss like a guy: aggressively with a lot of force and tongue and suction. Not that there's any logic to it whatsoever. :)
